Welcome to Azur with Leandre
Welcome to Azur : People at the heart of science
At Azur Health Science, people are at the core of everything we do.
In this series, we introduce the team behind our scientific work, starting with our Medical Writing experts and our Full‑Stack Developers, who support our clinical work and digital scientific communication.
✨ Today, we’re happy to spotlight Léandre Blanchegeley, who shares his journey, his passions, and his role at Azur Health Science.
Léandre we’re so glad to have you with us in Welcome to Azur!
Let’s begin by getting to know your role and how you contribute to the team
As a full-stack developer, I am in charge of developing Azur’s vision for a new medical writing and project management tool, internally referred to as “Azur Note”. We also help automate smaller everyday tasks around the office.
What are the big projects of the moment?
Our big project now is the previously mentioned “Azur Note”. A web application aiming to centralise project management and the writing of our documents. It is currently close to being released internally for testing.
Explain Azur Note in 3 sentences max
Azur Note has 3 main features: Writing, Reviewing and Project management. It includes a text editor that we are tuning specifically for medical writing tasks. Reviewing functionalities with real-time collaboration. And it also centralises our external apps into one dashboard for project managers and writers.
What are the major benefits for medical writers?
We aim to provide a pleasant writing experience, removing the frictions in the process, such as styling and formatting or quality control of the data. As well as having a better overview of the projects and timelines.
What excites you the most about this project?
As Azur Note is under active development and approaching an internal release, the dev team and I are very excited to have people try it out. It has been baking for a while now and to finally have people use it is really something we look forward to.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I love the creative aspect of programming, where you can make an idea into something real.
What’s your journey so far?
I have had an interest in programming since I was 12 or 13, I did it as a hobby first then studied computer science before finally joining Azur, part time with my study at first and now full-time.
Outside of work, what are current hobbies or projects that you are excited about?
My main hobby is weightlifting, I also like hiking and I recently started to take drawing lessons.
Something else to add?
I can’t wait for everyone to try Azur Note!
