✨ Discover the inspiring story of Rebecca, our HR manager who keeps everything on track at Azur Health Science learn her role, hobbies, passion
Her story reflects the values that drive our company: curiosity, collaboration, and the desire to make a meaningful impact. Whether she’s supporting colleagues, contributing to operational excellence, or bringing positive energy to the workplace, Rebecca embodies the spirit of Azur.
Her path reminds us that behind every innovation, every project, and every success, there are dedicated individuals who make it all possible. And today, we’re proud to celebrate one of them.
Let’s begin by getting to know your role and how you contribute to the team
I’m the HR manager. My job is basically to make sure people feel good here – from the moment they’re recruited to their day-to-day life in the company. Onboarding, HR follow-up, being available when someone needs to talk.
It’s a connector role, and that’s exactly what I like about it.
What are the challenges of being HR manager?
HR is a one-person show here – and the scope is broader than people think. You also have to keep learning constantly because everything evolves.
And beyond the day-to-day, there’s something I find both challenging and exciting: building a real HR culture within a growing company. That takes time, but it’s a meaningful work.
What is the most exciting thing you are working on right now?
We just moved into new offices! It sounds simple but it’s a fresh start in a way.
I’m really enjoying being part of making that transition smooth and positive for everyone.
What do you enjoy the most about your job ?
The people. Because Every interaction is different.
I find it really fulfilling to be useful in a concrete way – whether it’s helping someone settle in, or just being there when things get tough.
What’s your journey so far ?
It’s been a bit of a winding road! I started with a degree in applied foreign languages, focused on scientific and technical translation.
Then I got into public administration for a few years – I’ve always loved the organizational side of things. Last year I completed a diploma in HR management, and honestly it just clicked. It confirmed what I’d been gravitating towards for a while!
Why did you choose to become HR manager ?
I’ve always been a people person. I like listening, creating connections, being helpful. HR felt like the natural place where all of that makes sense.
And I have to say, the trust Sarah & Adrian placed in me by giving me this role really meant a lot. It was a real vote of confidence that pushed me to fully commit.
What inspired you to work in a company specialized in rare diseases ?
The word ‘rare’ says it all, really. These are patients who often go unnoticed, families who wait for years. Being part of a company that contributes to advancing treatments and research for rare disease – that means something.
It gives the work a real purpose.
What are your hobbies and passions ?
Music is a big part of my life – I play piano, sing, and I also compose. It’s my way of expressing myself.
I recently started hip-hop freestyle classes too, which I love. And outside of all that, my one-and-a-half-year-old son keeps me pretty busy!
